The "Why can't I join just because I have a boyfriend/husband?" responses I've seen to 4B have me kinda sorta actively seething, almost as much as the western (typically white...) "feminists" getting all up in knots with their "Yeah but Korean feminists are BAD and MEAN, actually only WESTERN feminism has it right! They don't even like makeup or porn! 😤" takes ( ... )

Trad wives as a movement is so crazy to me. It ignores actual history to prove a point. And it acts like people wouldn't want to make their food all the time if they had the means to do so. There are so many food influencers that make everything from scratch but they aren't Trad wives but they do the same things. Absolutely wild.

These are people who either never spoke to their grandmothers, or whose grandmothers never felt free enough to speak on their experiences during the era these numbskulls love to romanticize. When I was like 10 years old I will never forget my grandmother telling me "Whatever you do, never get married to a man. Find a handsome one and make use of him for shacking up, but never be his slave."

I say this to people all the time, but my great grandmother got married at 16, had 10 kids and was notoriously unhappy and bitter. Of her kids, one had no kids, two adopted, and the rest had between 1-2, with only one going so far as to have 3 kids. And none of those kids had more than 3 when they grew up either.

To me, all of them, boys and girls, saw what that lifestyle did to their mother/grandmother and actively chose to avoid it.

My last relationship ended 14 years ago and I decided I just could not be bothered with men anymore. It’s like having a giant gross lazy child in the house and I hate it.

Having said that, I’ve always been very solitary and never cared whether I was in a relationship or not, so it was pretty easy for me to nope out of that stuff.

Same!!! I'm not raising a man-child. I have my own problems. Just me and my furbabies. Men can go eat a bag of dicks.

Isn’t it amazing how something that licks itself clean with its own saliva is still less gross than a man.

My dogs are cleaner than most men, I wager. I'll take my ass-licking doggo over a manbaby.

my last relationship ended 3-4 years ago with him cheating on me and I haven't dated seriously since then. tbh I'm more and more considering 4B because my experiences on dating apps haven't been great and at some point you have to stop and wonder what is this for exactly? so I can care for 2 people instead of just looking out for myself? so I can center a man instead of me?

This is the thing. I'm bisexual but I literally do not have the energy a man requires of me lol currently, working as much as I do, I don't have the energy required for ANYTHING serious with anyone, but particularly with men there's some degree of "puppy training" required even from the most well-behaved ones (even our cool male friends who always vote left & believes in abortion proooobably don't load the dishwasher very often, or pick up after themselves without being asked or...), and I genuinely cannot talk myself into it. It's just so not worth it.

exactly this, I'm also bi but have never had luck with the ladies so at this point I'm just tired and don't have energy for anything. I have enough problems on my own without adding someone else's but especially a man's

I've been unwittingly following this for almost my entire adult life. Once you completely decenter men from your existence, it's amazing how much energy you have to invest in yourself and your experiences, career and familial relationships/friendships. Even though I'm very much attracted to the male body, I won't be wasting my one and only life seeking a male partner. Too much risk for too little reward.

I wish the best for all (non-Trumper) women in the US. I can definitely understand why searches for this are blowing up.

I love the idea of this on its surface. I’m all for the notion of “you think I’m trapped in a room with you, what you don’t realize is that you’re trapped in a room with me”.

But what would be better is helping women trapped in relationships with their MAGA abuser get out.
