i'm still playing dragon age. i abandoned my black dragons mage playthrough and made a qunari mourn watch mage. i'm enjoying it more. i'm almost done with my main playthrough. it's been fun, but it's probably coming in last as my favorite dragon age game.
it's because of the companions. that's what makes these games for me. my favorite game is dragon age 2. i love almost everyone in that game. not anders, lmao.
my order:
1. dragon age 2 2. dragon age origins 3. dragon age inquisition 4. dragon age veilguard
Still happily playing Veilguard. Just had some lore dropped that my friend and I had theories on and 1 which she correctly predicted.
She finished the game and is very much in love with it and currently feels it’s the best DA game. I’m struggling to finish just because of work (doing OT and just being tired overall).
I'm also playing Veilguard lol. I'm enjoying the game a lot, but the combat is very 'Mass Effect but make it Dragon Age'. It's enjoyable but I don't like both series having the same combat. Plus the enemy AI is garbage, why tf is it always targeting me. My companions are basically useless at drawing fire. I don't remember the ME companions being this useless in battle (in 2 and 3, anyway). ALSO why on earth do they start you off with a bunch of ranged fighters. I'm always a mage so it's been kinda ass to not have a front line person. But I picked up Lucanis so at least there's one finally. Story has been fine but nothing special so far.
Yeah the Veilguard combat is very much MEA combat. Which was fun and I like it better than the original trilogy but for a DA game seems a bit much, especially the dodge mechanic. I’m still having fun with it though. But fuck enemies with shields.
Playing a rogue from the start wasn’t so bad but I feel for mage players because oof at being numero uno with aggro so early on. I’m grateful Davrin and Taash each have an ability to taunt but equipping it then takes away one of their other combat abilities you might want to use. So it’s a double edged sword. Same for anyone who can heal you though.
I don't even remember MEA combat lol, but it's seemed very familiar, so I guess that's why. Yeah, it's definitely fun, but the constant dodging...ENOUGH. Let me have a minute to think!!
I heard Davrin or both can auto taunt eventually? They really said fuck mage players for the early part of the game tho lmao
So I tried to play Cry of Fear, but the game just gave me a black screen after a cutscene and I couldn't do anything so I called it quits. I guess I'll just watch a let's play on yt soon. After that, I played When the Darkness Comes which is a short indie horror.
Now I have started Outlast 2 and I'm not sure how I'm feeling about it yet. I usually don't play sequels consecutively, but for this one it's been a few years since I played the first one and just haven't gotten around to this one yet.
I'm looking to upgrade my gaming laptop with some black friday deals. The one I'm eyeing is a beast, but hopefully the beast would tide me over for a while. I tried playing Cyberpunk earlier this year but the game kept crashing and I don't need to play with 4k graphics or anything, but I want to play on high settings and smooth gameplay.
