My local cinema has the 4k restoration of Point Break out this week, so I will definitely catch that, as I've never seen it on the big screen. I also want to see Juror #2 because I really enjoy talky court room dramas, has anyone else seen it?

The writing for the movie is all over the place. The pre-transition misgendering was so cringe. Karla was great and did the best she could but the character was so poorly developed. The doctor musical numbers were as cringe as people have been saying, and I thought there were only two really good musical numbers.

[Spoiler (click to open)]I’ve read the criticisms from the trans community about how trans people are portrayed and how she becomes a “new person” after transitioning. My takeaway on the ending though is that she realizes she ISNT a different person, she can’t escape her past, and she is the same selfish and violent person. However, I think we were supposed to find her sympathetic clearly and be invested in her ( ... )
