I loved The Best Christmas Pageant Ever book and I was in the play when I was a kid (I played Gladys), so I'll have to check that out.

I watched A Different Man last night. What a film. Not keen on the body horror, but as a disabled person in a wheelchair I've never seen such an accurate portrayal of that kind of self loathing and unwanted attention. I mean, I don't have a facial deformity, but that dude knocking on the window with the big smile so he can pat himself on the back later for acknowledging one of us freaks? Totally have had that happen more than once, and it's demeaning as fuck. The constant self-loathing,
and then seeing other people with similar disabilities excel in life which further makes you feel like shit because you think society expects us to be some sort of monolith that all reacts the same way to being disabled with the expectation that we should all be outgoing super-crips with PhDs and fulfilling lives... I'm rambling now, but yeah, great film. I've been put off before by Stan but I can't deny he's a great actor.

Has anyone seen We Live in Time? It's playing here and I don't know if I should check it out.

I enjoyed it a lot. If you’re a fan of Miss Flo, in particular, it’s worth seeing.

Agreed with other user. It’s exactly what you expect from the trailer. It’s not groundbreaking but good to watch. But Flo is charming as always, she’s incredible.

I liked it, it was def better than I was expecting thanks to the performance & the non-linear style, which isn't used just to be extra emotionally manipulative, as I feared.

I have a ticket to see Blitz on Friday, and will likely see Heretic on Saturday.

The theater closest to me has something called Hitpig, but not Conclave. I'm going to have to drive to see my pope movie.

Yeah, I missed writing about Hitpig altogether somehow. I think it came out last week. Rude @ your theater having that over Conclave.
