There was a time my mom took night classes and my dad would order pizza and we'd all watch Celebrity Deathmatch, which my mother wouldn't let us watch. I had no idea who half of the people were, but I thought the clay figures were fun.

Im surprised that our MTV still is hustling along.

You can tell that they're desperate when they have to steal most of their content from VH1 and still only play reruns of that stupid show.

If I recall MTV (or their parent company) bought VH1 several years back, so it's not surprising that they steal stuff from them.

Long ago, when I had access to cable, I thought VH1 had the better music videos.

This is how I remember there is (was) an MTV Canada. I’m sad about the loss of MuchMusic though. What a staple that was of my youth. It was always superior to MTV.

I remember watching something called Fuse in high school (I'm an American) and thinking it was WAY better than MTV. Was it related to MuchMusic? My memory tells me Fuse was Canadian too lol

I wasn’t familiar with Fuse so I googled and turns out it was originally called MuchMusic USA so yes, it was related!

Fuse basically replaced MuchMusic in the US.

I loved 1G5G! I'm American so they showed it on Logo for a couple of years right up until Aliya-Jasmine left and maybe a few weeks/months into Lauren's tenure.

They'd be great if they went to their actual music video days. Not sure if there's a market of TV watchers though.

Although I will say E! in the states was playing music videos late at night when I was on my last vacation. That was kinda weird but I loved it.
