While I understand not liking the direction of your character, you are an actor, not a writer. Your job is to play the character and stories that someone else wrote.

I know that sounds harsh, but that’s the reality of being an actor. You aren’t always going to love the lines or the plot that they give you.

Plenty of actors eventually get to have input into the characters to a degree. He's made it far enough to have a voice and try to change things up.

I don’t watch the show, but it sounds to me he wants to play a character who is more of a fan favourite so he can maybe get some (more) of the show’s hype.
