we saw anora on friday night and i was blown away. it was so smart, devastating, and fascinating. i don't know how to do a spoiler cut so i won't say much else, but there was so much going on with sexuality, sex work, different types of labor, etc., that i thought was brilliant and provocative. and also the movie was simply incredibly entertaining and funny. i'd almost call it a comedy except that i think there are ultimately more serious and somber questions guiding the film at large. i hope mikey gets an oscar nomination, she was incredible.

i saw we live in time yesterday and, while i was in a theatre with lower capacity (recliner seats babyyy), it was absolutely packed. i know a24 is a brand unto itself and florence/andrew are pretty popular, but i'm still a little relieved any time i see a non-IP movie and the theatre is full.

Venom was good, very funny. I like Tom Hardy so I knew I would have a good time. I went to the fan event on the 24th and got a free Venom cable tie. They knew what the audience likes as it's a little Venom figure with a super long tongue 😏😏

I also saw Your Monster yesterday and enjoyed it so much. I was the only one in my theater. Sis needs better friends and I listened to a song from the soundtrack on my way home
