I wanted to see Conclave but all the good seats were taken. I’ll have to see it next week instead but I also want to see Anora, Your Monster, and Nicholas Hoult’s new movie. I don’t think the last two will stay in theaters very long. Double feature? Triple feature? 😳

I saw Anora on Friday and I really liked it. It could have been edited a bit more but it was great and Mikey Madison needs that Oscar!

Saw Anora this afternoon in a surprisingly packed theater. Although the poor older man next to me might have gone in blind because he left and never came back after the first 20 min... [Spoiler (click to open)]it was a lot funnier than I expected, felt slapstick even. Even though it also felt at times I was watching full on porn with a room full of my new best friends. I did get fully distracted by the guy playing Igor though. The last 40 min could be tightened because it felt like it meandered a bit. That final scene was so bleak with the cathartic cry though, phew. Almost got me tearing up. Have I seen some iteration of this movie before? Yes. But I did enjoy this watch.
