Yup. Nobody watches Hallmark to see teens or college students, their entire thing is beautiful women aged 40+ (or at the very least 30, 35+) finding their true love after divorce or something.

This was my first thought. I personally don’t watch Hallmark (maybe I’ll start when I hit 40 😂), but I never hear about it unless it’s older women talking about it. And younger ones during the holiday season.

I bet they were not bothered by the age of leading men, though!

Getting fired at 79 is really rough - her odds of getting hired for a similar position elsewhere are slim :|

OK but realistically at 79 she needs to be enjoying her golden years and getting plowed at the Sandals Resort of her choice

Some people just really like their jobs lol my aunt is around that age and she tried retiring but she got depressed and went back to work. Her husband passed away some years ago and her kids don't live in the country so I guess it's understandable (plus she really really likes her job lol)

I volunteer with the Friends of the Library and one of the women I work for puts in 6 hrs of work a day it's insane, other people also come in multiple days a week

I think they're severely misjuding their audience. And Lacey is only three years older than me. 42 is only "old" if you're maybe 19. And no, their demo is not 19 year olds

Note that they mention two women by name and no men? Andrew Walker is older than Lacey, and he's my Hallmark King so I want him to stick around, at least until his hair goes.

I get it. Paul Campbell is my Hallmark King, and also older than Lacey (though Google tells me two WEEKS older than Paul 😅)
