Yay!!!!! This season got me back into playing BG3 lmao

When is the Mighty Nein adaptation supposed to be released?

[Spoiler (click to open)]I CAN’T BELIEVE IT. IS PERCY REALLY GONE!!?!?! Don’t answer that for me lol My boyfriend is only familiar with their second and third campaign so we’re both totally in the dark!

I don't recall there being any official news re: M9's first season release date.

As for the question... I would guess that it was going to stick, but with a new season, I'm significantly less certain, while still leaning towards it remaining as is.

My guess is no but I really wonder how they'd pull it off without it seeming contrived

From a story telling pov M9 should start after they aired season 4 of VM, since what happens there chronologically is after everything VM experienced. But they are also on a different continent so the first season of M9 could run before VM is finished without spoiling anything I think.

I've only ever seen the first 60 something episodes of CR3 but I love everyone. I've watched the first 2 seasons of Vox Machina and really enjoyed, haven't watched season 3 yet but will be soon!!

I wish they had abridged episodes for past campaigns lol I really would love to watch but I do not have time for all that :(

It's good that you're enjoying CR3!!! I love everyone, but I can say that CR3 has been my least favorite of the campaigns and I will not be sad when CR4 begins.

I haven't watched in a very long time lol 😬Part of me wants to wait for them to release the abridged episodes but I feel like I would be waiting a loooong time for that to happen hahaha. I didn't start watching it until they were already like 80 episodes in and I just sort of hit a wall and had to stop. Will be ready for CR4 from the beginning which will hopefully make it easier to keep up!!

I don't know what the frequency of the abridged versions getting released are, but I hope that you can catch up via the abridged versions soon!

Seeing Zerxus made me so emotional. I like the world and lore of CR but I like the personalities of D20 more. Not to say I dislike any of them, I watch both although not super regularly. My ultimate public ttrp is Worlds Beyond Number rn. I'm btoh excited and sad WWW is taking a break after this season.

I was very surprised to see Zerxus, but in a good way! I don't really watch D20. I respect it, immensely, but I don't want to rabbit hole down another tabletop thing that contains a significant amount of content.

They're much shorter but also a very different vibe because of it. If Critical Role is a RP-focused TTRPG, I'd say D20 is more adventure based. Because of the nature of having 4-6 episodes for season it's really more of an adventure quest

Hmm, the prospect of no "shopping episodes" (or other episodes where there's very little action) does appeal.

I wish Faster, Purple Worm! Kill! Kill! was available in Canada, it's free in the States but not even available to buy here.

Is that a TTRPG?

It is. It has a bunch of big names attached, although I was there for Luis Carazo. If you don't watch D20 you might recognize Mathew Lillard, Seth Green, Anjali Bhimani

I know all of them, including Luis!

Anjali is such a ball of sweetness and light. I love her, but I would probably be driven insane if I regularly interacted with her.

Honestly I really wonder if anyone outside critters is watching it and that makes me sad. I hope it gets a popularity boom in the later seasons a la Breaking Bad. Honestly these last two seasons have been so good I feel like this could be the new ATLA for this era's teenagers.

I know of a few people who aren't Critters who enjoy it. And I can definitely say that this season has been really, really good. The other two were also good, but this season has managed to have the moments of comedy be much more focused on character comedy instead of gross out over the top comedy, which both S1 and S2 suffered from at times.

I've seen some YouTube reactors watch it who didn't know anything about Critical Role at all, and they seem to enjoy it. It's interesting to see their perspectives as complete newbies.

old post but I just got done watching s3 - I know nothing about critical role and have been watching the show since season 1 dropped just because I like animation. I know a lot of other people who are just fans of cartoons who watch it too without being critters :) [also I have friends who are critters but don't watch this show.... lol]
