I remember being super salty because they pandemic broke at episode 99. I didn't blame them, but it was just like "such horrid timing!"

I haven’t gotten to watch the newest season just yet so I’m scrolling right past all the comments and just saying hooray for renewal! I love this show so much!

I didn't follow the campaign, but I enjoy the show a lot despite how oddly straight the main relationships all seem to be

The "main" characters, aside from Vax, all seemed to be rather hetero-coded during the live plays.

They do play up Vax and Gilmore having a very flirtatious relationship, even though he ultimately ends up with Keyleth. And, I will say, they make Scanlan far more queer coded as a pansexual than he ever was during the live play. I never got the impression that live play Scanlan was anything other than a hetero horn dog.

I think, in the case of Vox Machina, it was the first time that a lot of the cast had ever done anything like D&D, so they kind of let their characters mirror their own sexual identities by default. The Mighty Nein have far more queer-coded main characters.

Yeah, when I talked about it in TikTok people kept telling me that it is more queer in the campaign. I was surprised that Gilmore/Vax was more of a thing because on the show it comes off as very like flirty but unserious. I do think its a fun series I just had so many people telling me the fan canon that the canon-canon surprised me.

(I personally find Keyleth/Vax kinda boring too so it doesn't help)

I don't really remember Gilmore/Vax being anything more than flirty in the live plays. I think, if they ever were more than just flirty, it all happened before they started streaming, since they started mid-campaign. But I definitely got the impression that there WAS something physical between the two that had cooled to a casual flirting and general fondness. There might have been some kissing, too? It's been years since I watched anything live play related to C1, and there were hundreds of hours of content, so I might be forgetting some of those character beats! Gilmore probably still has some pining for Vax, at least in my opinion.

I would've been so mad if we hadn't gotten the last arc, GIVE ME TARY AND DOTY!

Also Keyleths final step in her ... journey (I will butcher the spelling so I won't even try) for reasons dooooooown the line.

If the first season of M9 comes out before season 4 (which I think should work just fine as the final season) I just hope they space them out enough to not overshadow each other. A friend of mine tends to be a bit dismissive about VM because she got into CR with the M9 and it drives me nuts, though now that she has been watching the first campaign it has lessened, which is nice. I get having favourites but talking down on a campaign she hadn't even seen was bullshit.

New comment cause I'm slowly going through Dimension20 content, I love how completely different the dynamic on that table is, everybody cursing out Brennan and he is drinking it all up will never not be funny.

I need to figure out where I stand on Emily as a player, cause she is great to watch using her actions as a spellcaster, but sometimes I feel like she is inserting herself too much into other peoples scenes and moments even if it is just in the background.
I like the chaos Ally brings with their rolls but I wish sometimes they'd read their spell cards every now and then.
