*Guests to Disneyland Paris (there are dozens of them! dozens!) have already had Lightning Lane Premiere Pass prior to this announcement for the US (Domestic) Parks

I do wonder when these big companies are gonna start seeing attendance and sales drop (like festivals have seen recently, for example) because they are making everything so expensive.
They will sell out EVERY day at both locations, except for MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYBE Animal Kingdom because there's really not that many rides in general there, at least until they revamp Dinoland with the new stuff. Then the price will go up to basically match or nearly match the 3rd most expensive park (probably Hollywood Studios, but maybe EPCOT) and it will start selling out every day.
The thing is that the only way that people will get the message that the consumers are tired of the price increases is for the consumers to stop going... but we don't!!!!
Disney obsessives freak me out. Like don't get me wrong, I see the appeal of the parks and how they can be fun for anyone, etc. but there's also this cult-like group of Disney park stans who make everything weird but get pandered to because well $$$
You're not wrong. I'm a Disneyland stan. It's my favorite place on the planet. It's my happy place. But do I want this pass thing? Well... I mean... it would be nice to have... but I'm perfectly content to not have it.
I love theme parks and I totally get being infatuated and interested in them! But there's this like...sector of almost parasocial park obsessives that Disney in particular capitalizes on. We don't see this kind of cult-like brand loyalty as much with Universal Studios or Six Flags.
The amount of mothers that are going to stress like crazy for those moments before each inevitable selling out of the pass... because you know it'll be like 98% moms/grandmas/females who will be doing the attempting.
I'll say that the fact that they will probably go on sale before the parks open each day will at least save the cast members in the parks from... 60% of the rage.
The cast members at the hotels? Poor babies. Especially if they are concierge level cast members.
I thought my cousin was crazy when she wanted us to pay $20 to skip the line to get on the Star Wars ride. It's already so expensive to get tickets to the park and pay for food, but all the extra costs are extra dumb. I felt like we were able to plan out our day efficiently with Genie Pass (or whatever it's called now) alone.
I used the "fancy ride" option for Guardians at Epcot, and I got Genie Plus for Hollywood Studios. I did not find Genie Plus to be worth it in the least!
Nice! I am unlikely to be able to attend opening day, barring some minor miracle. And I wouldn't want to be there on opening day unless it was like... in December or something, because I'm not going anywhere near Florida when it's hot AND humid.

The fast pass used to work fine and it was free. I didn’t think people would pay for Genie+ and I was wrong.
