Disney obsessives freak me out. Like don't get me wrong, I see the appeal of the parks and how they can be fun for anyone, etc. but there's also this cult-like group of Disney park stans who make everything weird but get pandered to because well $$$
You're not wrong. I'm a Disneyland stan. It's my favorite place on the planet. It's my happy place. But do I want this pass thing? Well... I mean... it would be nice to have... but I'm perfectly content to not have it.
I love theme parks and I totally get being infatuated and interested in them! But there's this like...sector of almost parasocial park obsessives that Disney in particular capitalizes on. We don't see this kind of cult-like brand loyalty as much with Universal Studios or Six Flags.
I'm with you. I have family that live near Disneyland, so it's the park I grew up going to when we'd go out and visit. I liked using the OG fastpass system, but more often than not when I'm out there these days, we're going in the middle of the week when everyone is in school and it's not usually stupid busy. So standing in line is nbd and i get to bullshit with my cousins. Win-win.
Tbf it’s probably for rich or people who go once or once in awhile not regulars or pass holders. But the price and stuff is not that great compared to what express pass gets you at Universal

The fast pass used to work fine and it was free. I didn’t think people would pay for Genie+ and I was wrong.
