Thankfully, I'm able to enjoy Disneyland without going on rides. If I'm there, I'm happy. But I understand the sentiment.

Disneyland is in a giant urban area and a lot of people have season passes, which makes it less of an event to go.

Im so tired of adding stupid tiers to things.

Back in the day you had VIP at the top.

Now people do VVIP. What the hell is VVIP?

I watched a video of some guy who spent thousands for some special VIP thing. He had a park employee walk him and his kids around the park. The so called no line was only available for certain rides at certain times, and oops, there was a goof, and it wasn’t available all of a sudden, after he set up a day/time to go. The vip treat snacks were mini bags of goldfish crackers and tiny bottles of water. The VIP character breakfast was no different than a regular character breakfast.

He was quite mad, because all he really got for his extra money was a guide that was spouting off Disney trivia, which he said he could have done himself.

When does this enddddddddddddd?

Disney is squeezing every last cent out of their customers and this has to backfire on them eventually right? It has to reach a point where people have had enough and refuse to engage in their nickel and diming, right?

RIGHT??

At some point, there will be a threshold. Even Disney Adults have a threshold.

Unfortunately, that threshold is exceedingly high.

I think pure numbers of people will screw them over eventually - families still contribute something to the bottom line and as those get fewer and smaller something is going to give.

This pass is only for deluxe/villa/dvc resort guests, so if you’re dumb enough to fork over $500+ a night for one of those allegedly primo hotels, $400 isn’t much more.

I have to imagine its because those people don’t necessarily prioritize being in the parks much, so they’re on a two week vacation and go every day with their annual pass. But get those rich asshole butts in the parks so they can spend more more more money.

I spent 11 nights at the Grand Floridian, and paid full price because they NEVER had a discount during my stay (blasphemy!). So I am one of those dumb enough people. But it was a really nice hotel!

No, I saved up for 3 years during the pandemic to take my "dream Disney World" trip where I basically got to do everything that I wanted to do.

Then lost my job 2 months after I got back.

Kind of wish I stayed at a cheaper place after that!
