Two new Pride & Prejudice adaptations were announced this week. Firstly, the BBC shared they are getting back in the Austen game. Sarah Quintrell (The Power) will write a ten-part series for the channel

I finally watched netflixs persuasion a month ago and my god look at how they massacred my boy keep them AWAY from p&p

I would like to see Autumn de Wilde take on p&p i loved her emma

agree on both counts! Autumn really understood the assignment of Emma and made one of the best Emma adaptations ever in a super crowded field.

yes! emma never got me the way p&p did, and i never could get into the screen versions, but autumn's emma adaptation was next level. the entire film had such feeling, loved it

the vibes! the costumes! the comedy! the screens! seeing Mr Knightley's ass before we see his face!

I have never seen P&P but until they figure out a way to diversify the cast and behind the scenes crew, etc. another boring retread isn't interesting to me.

Put those production $ towards something else.

Everyone thinks they are an Elizabeth but they are really a Mary. I'm down for a series about her! I think there's lots of room for character exploration in p&p. I really enjoyed and was emotionally destroyed by Molly Greeley's The Clergyman's Wife, which is about Charlotte Lucas laying in the bed she made for herself. 10/10 recommend!
