Didn’t Billie do an interview where she said she started watching violent porn at like 11 years old and how that really messed her up? And has done multiple interviews talking about how hard it has been to grow up in the music industry? I don’t trust this lady and really am not sure why we are supposed to be interested in anything she has to say

I think it’s hard to completely shield kids from p0rn nowadays though. Even when I was in middle school I was able to access it and that was back in like 2004, and my parents had no clue (at least I hope that’s the case…) and we had parental protections. She got discovered really early, at like 14. So she did grow up in the industry because of that.

I’m sympathetic towards parents with technology for sure. I just feel like 11 is still an age where you can have a lot of control over what your kids are consuming? At least in your own home

Yeah but with phones I don’t think you can totally control it, especially with kids out with their friends. Idk Billie seems to have a really nice relationship with her parents and considering how young she was when she got famous she seems very happy and in a good place. So I guess I just don’t see her stumbling across something as indicative that her mom did a bad job raising her or that she’s untrustworthy, that seems a little harsh..

Idk, I think there are different levels of Nepo baby.

I think in Billie's sense, maybe her parents weren't high-level actors, but they did work as teachers/run workshops and that meant she was around music at a super young age and was able to get a free education in that sense. I feel like that makes all the difference if you're working to middle class, as if your parents didn't do that for work, they might not be able to afford to send you to stage school or music lessons.

I'm sure they made some connections through that, as her mom did work with some pretty high-profile people, but I also agree that it's probably a very different ball game to navigate. Its like how a lot of UK actors/musicians who are Nepo babies technically end up surpassing their parents level of fame on a global scale.

I think those who have even just a bit of depth understand what nepo baby means and its nuances and those who don't and just learned the word on the innanet and just throw around the word for anyone who even is a bit connected to HW.
