i still barely know who tf this chick is but this was ridiculous backlash and it's ironic that her call for critical thinking led to the exact opposite. unsurprising from blue MAGA.

I sincerely believe her heart is in the right place given her very vocal and physical stances on Palestine and the trans and queer community. I also sincerely believe she is incapable of articulating her thoughts without firmly planting her foot in her mouth.

She opened this can of worms herself and her phrasing made those worms impossible to wrangle without coming out in full support of Kamala. Figure it out, girly.

that's where i'm at. she may well be voting kamala and holding her nose doing it, which a lot of people are going to do even on this site, but she cannot in good conscience publicly endorse her, which i can understand given what she's also said abt her take on palestine and how the US government handles it ( ... )

She's definitely a clickbait author's wet dream, and she doesn't even realize it because she thinks she's being earnest in her responses. The problem is, earnest or not, the media will (and has) rip her to shreds for extra clicks

and this is why PR is so important. while I admire her refusal to play the game, it could save her a lot of time and stress if she did the minimum in certain areas and picked her battles.

Yeah, most politically engaged people are voting at least every two years!

If this is going to be her third then she's only talking presidential tho, no midterm (at 26, 22 and 18)

She says isn’t voting for Trump, which obvs I didn’t expect her to. She then says she will always question people in power and the decisions made from those in power and finishes there.

She basically repeated her stances from the article and said nothing new lol.

Idk I could be off but it almost~ feels like she most likely vote for Kamala but will question whatever decisions she makes during her presidency. Again I could be wrong.

Piece of advice for her is to get a good pr agent cause I get the feeling she’s gonna get overwhelmed by the expectations from her fan base of whatever topic. It’s why I don’t blame celebs when they start more private, it’s all overwhelming to be a voice for millions of anonymous people lol.

she has Olivia Rodrigo’s producer, she needs to also hire Olivia Rodrigo’s PR agent and then copy Olivia’s political strategy ( ... )

Yeah she needs a PR agent cause it’s clear she can’t handle it. She’s gonna get burned out from replying to everything.

She’d be fine laser-focusing on the topics she cares about and leaving it there. If she does that she’ll be fine and less bothered.

I really think it's because her getting PR might get in the way of the narrative that she is an artist first and pop sensation second.

we shouldn't be pressuring popstars to pick our candidates for presidency. stop asking them. stop expecting them to endorse. it's not their job
