No way he would have been Smith's character. David Schwimmer couldn't have done the men in black song/dance

Damn this guy. First he bonds the cast together to make sure they all get paid the same and now he doesn't abandon people who quit their jobs for him. This guy. Well done.

Yes, these are the only two stories I really know about him, but they are both really good.

There was another story of when he fist blew up after friends and did an interview in a hotel. He knew the interviewer was a woman and might not have felt comfortable meeting a guy in a hotel for an interview so he said actually had another woman in the room, who i believe was his agent at the time, to make sure she felt safe. I believe the reporter was the one that shared this anecdote.

I read nice stories like this about him and then I remember his misogynistic Paris Hilton dude bro rant and it makes me wonder if they’re the same guy.

I wish he had turned down Band of Brothers.

His acting was atrocious in it. I didn't believe him for one minute.

Yet he's not generally a bad actor.

I’m not a stan, I’ve never given his acting (or him in general) any thought but I’ve watched BoB a million times and he’s actually really good in the role imo? Sobel is supposed to be fake, forced, ridiculous, a pathetic little man constantly performing because command never comes natually to him, not an actual villain that you’d take seriously, but someone delivering an inadequate performance as a CO, and that’s exactly how he comes across I think.

I hear you and totes understand what you're saying ❤️ - I think he just misses the mark. And so I feel ticked off (not at the character-only) every time I have to endure his performance when he's on-screen.

Could be worse - could be MF Jimmy Fallon. Wtf at that casting!??!? 🤣

Of course, some performances can resonate with some people and not with others, acting is not an exact science. Sometimes when I rewatch it I suddenly hear someone’s accent slip and it completely throws me off the scene even if I’ve watched it a thousand times before.

I swear, I almost mentioned Fallon in my previous comment 😂 What WAS that??

I think he seems like a really cool guy. He was so funny on Friends but he always gave me serious actor vibes. I'm surprised his film career didn't take off.

He’s a major zionist. That honestly cancels everything good he’s ever done (and he’s done plenty good, so it sucks).

Shit I had no idea. That very much sucks.

Yeah, he has done a lot of activist work against sexual violence, which I so respect him for, but apparently that grace doesn't extend to Palestinians.

The disconnect is fucking unreal.

This would have been a VERY different franchise with him over Will Smith
