No of course there are a few good ones, but most of them end up being really disappointing. I think so far I only liked Stand By Me, The Green Mile (probably the best), The Shawshank Redemption and Misery. Oh, The Dead Zone too (mostly cause of Christopher Walken)

I don't think I'll be able to get to The Substance til after our trip, but I am curious about it. Female critics seemed to be less hot on it than male critics when it premiered.
It seems like there were less crazy outlier amazing standouts at TIFF this year, and more of a broad variety of good-to-great movies, which I am not mad about. We've got a lot to watch this fall!
