Hybe is literally garbage idk whether it's loyalty to BTS but how some of you defend Hybe is beyond me. Bang is garbage. These girls deserve the world. And I wonder what else they're keeping close to their chests. Sorry but I believe these girls and not a creepy asshole like Bang.

I mean team nobody other than the girls. I don't disagree that HYBE is shit and has been very shady this entire time, but I also believe those texts of MHJ calling the girls dumb bitches and little pigs and that she has also fully taken advantage of them.

I wish there was a solution that freed the girls from both sides.

The fan speculation is this video is the first step towards contract termination and HYBE has two weeks to either acquiesce or prepare for the lawsuit. Makes sense to me - the members would otherwise spend their life in the dungeon.

I, too, cannot believe how hard people are glazing HYBE over this matter. Yet, I can, because it's mostly BTS fans who have inserted themselves into this situation where there is no reason to have done so. Plus the reasons people hate MHJ have nothing to do with what she has been fighting. Really confusing how people are stanning a company trying to screw her out of money she rightfully earned. By making NewJeans so successful she could have earned 80 million from her put option - HYBE has concocted all this drama just to get out of paying her. It's stupid.

Seems like they realize at this point that HYBE will store and keep them away from any future promotion regardless. If that's the case its better for them to getting some sort of say in and reveal their perspective. I think they know whats going to happen and decided to go head on.

just don't see this ending well for newjeans. i imagine they are hoping hybe will let them go relatively scot-free (doubt) so they can join mhj but it'll probably some time to mhj to get resources and they'd probably would have to rebrand too

and if mhj got the chance to pick some new girls for a new group and get rid of newjeans, she'd throw out newjeans immediately

I don't think people are necessarily siding with HYBE as much as recognizing the futility of the situation. Neither HYBE nor MHJ are good options, but they are the only options we know about. The ostracization isn't fair but neither was MHJ dragging the other girl groups at HYBE for things beyond their control. Additionally, the managers of those groups have a responsibility to them. NewJeans are still very close to MHJ, so the managers of other groups likely do not want the members to be potentially put in a difficult position by interacting with the NewJeans members directly.

HYBE and MHJ have set up an impossible situation for everyone, including NewJeans. I support NewJeans, but I also support ILLIT and LSF, so if the managers for either (or both) of those groups thinks it's in the best interest of their members to avoid NewJeans, I can't really blame them, either. MHJ played hardball and (as of now) lost. NewJeans are the ones to suffer for it. It's not fair but it is reality.
