Min Hee Jin (ADOR CEO) vs HYBE drama post 2
An attempted continuation of this post.
ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin ("MHJ") had a press conference yesterday (today?). Needless to say, it was a shit show. I reccommend reading the full twitter thread, as I'll only be giving highlights.

NewJeans were supposed to debut first and MHJ had been promised that HYBE's first girl group would be hers. Instead, HYBE rushed the debut of Chaewon and Sakura (the two members of LE SSERAFIM who were originally in IZ*ONE, a temporary girl group formed on Produce 48, and whose re-debuts were highly anticipated). Because of LE SSERAFIM's sudden debut, she and the parents of the NewJeans members were angry and scared that NewJeans would be unable to debut. According to MHJ, HYBE CEO Park Jin Won "wanted the public to think that LE SSERAFIM were in fact MHJ's girl group."
Tensions further increased when NewJeans hit it big with "Ditto", with Big Hit CEO Bang Si Hyuk's attitude towards her changing for the worse. This led her to consult with a shaman for therapeutic reasons. She confirmed the existence of the internal documents alleged to have included potential exit strategies, stating that "We have two vice CEOs, and one of them is really playful, they wrote what they wrote because they knew I was suffering."
She also rebutted a lot of the allegations flying around in the press, including that she stole four trainees from Source Music to make NewJeans ("The only one I could choose was Minji") and that she had no involvement in Gfriend's disbandment. Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein were recruited for a project called "BTS girl group."
MHJ also shared effusive praise for the NewJeans members and their support during this difficult time:
"The relationship between NewJeans and me is beyond your imagination. We are comforted by each other. The children are so beautiful and kind. Yesterday, Hani said, 'CEO, you are having a hard time, I will come to your house.' Haerin usually doesn't talk much, but she video called me in the middle of the night. Hyein cried for 20 minutes. 'I have so many things to be thankful for, but she apologized for not being able to help me when I was going through a difficult time.'"
ILLIT's creative director chimed in by sharing (and then deleting) a photo of a middle finger on Instagram.
HYBE responded to the press conference, saying "The press conference is not worth responding to. Please return your information assets and respond to the audit immediately. Also, please stop constantly mentioning artists and their parents, as it undermines the value of artists." An update sent to NewJeans fans on the group's Weverse after the press conference assuring that the group would be taken care of opened with "This is HYBE," rather than the usual "This is ADOR".
Lastly, Allkpop reports that "Min Hee Jin is receiving stronger support from the public, as compiled by a trending post on 'theQoo' with over 500 comments". The poll in the article has 863 votes in MHJ's favour (94% of respondents).
