one thing though that i find quite evident is that if this whole thing involved another company, especially one from the big 3 (let's go with sm since they had many lawsuits), i don't think korean netizens would be this firmly on newjeans' side. korean netizens were much harsher on other idols who had legitimate mistreatment issues (they hated on jyj who were incredibly overworked and underpaid) but somehow are fine with newjeans whose biggest issue is not being greeted?

They have the freedom to speak up but they’re all under contract and it would take millions to break contract. We’ll see how it goes but I hope they’re ok. They are very young and put in a compromised spot

maybe they're trying to make hybe negotiate with them, but idol groups no matter how popular are a dime a dozen in their respective companies and nj is no where near a big enough influence to throw their weight around. svt and lsf are popular, bnd is growing in popularity, but the only one i can see actually getting a label to bow to them if they were in a hypothetical back and forth is bts and they're an outlier tbh.

NewJeans isn't such a large part of Hybe's success that they're beholden to demands such as "reinstate our CEO to who was caught committing some white collar crimes".

lmaoooooooooooooooo i am so sorry TXT.
(Also Enhypen is doing just fine and Fromis_9 had a successful comeback recently so like... Hybe is doing ok without NewJeans. They don't have tons of leverage.)
