And Ryan had what seemed to be practical reasons for it; they did not want to deal with casting another child, especially a two-year old toddler.

bruh they've had to cast four (the baby + three kids) different actors now for joffrey, who only got his first lines "mother." and "i want mother." in like episode six of this season, even though he was the actual catalyst for the fight with kid!aemond--and they're probably going to have to recast him AGAIN when season 3 finally starts shooting alsjdfalsdf

Honestly. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice....

This is the second time he's given HBO the rights to his work. And we all know what happened the first time.

You don't want them to ruin your story? Then don't take their money. He's happy to cash the checks and then whine online when things don't go his way.

I think this is different. asoiaf is unfinished. GRRM told HBO he'd keep ahead of the show (when they started the show 5 books were already out) so the show would have a completed book series to adapt just like how when the HP movies started coming out not all the books were completed, but Rowling got her books published before the movies caught up.

With F&B the full story is there. So we know all the events, the ending, etc... and they just needed to adapt that. They didn't have the challenge of GoT where they ran out of source material & had no idea how to end things.

But D&D started messing up with the characters/story even before they ran out of books.
I remember one of the actors was looking forward to more screen time because of his storyline in the novels, but the creators decided to kill him anyway.

I just think George knows exactly who he's dealing with. And he sold it anyway.

I'm sorry, this has been absolutely sending me all morning. He felt so strongly about this that he aired it all out on his not-livejournal, right down to leaking spoilers for proposed plot points in future seasons LMAO. I'm convinced he forgot he was under contract and someone at HBO had to remind him.
