I saw that fans were calling her a diva so she turned off comments on that video. such entitled fans to be angry cause she doesn't wanna be harassed. how dare she ask not to be stalked too. congrats you made someone who just got famous regret it instead of finding joy in blowing up
i would bet the fans who are mad about her wanting to be treated like a person are the same people who "protect their peace" by being a bad friend/coworker. it's all about what makes them and only them comfortable
at this point, i would not be surprised if chappell roan went full kate bush and moved to a remote location, built herself a studio and released music on her own time with zero promo and zero touring.
lmao truly! I keep tabs on the stans of an actor that they swear up and down is the most perfect, saintly, angelic little teddy bear that’s ever lived and I’m like… girls you NEED to get real!!!!
Thanks for letting me know! I fixed the ONTD link.
I think social media has exacerbated the way some fans interact with celebrities. Some people now think that if they’re within 500 feet of someone famous, they’re allowed to demand their time, attention, interaction, etc.
I get expecting that if you’re at an event/appearance, but not when these people are just out living their lives.
What makes it worse is that a lot of these demanding fans just want the clout of posting a picture. If they bothered to try having a normal/genuine interaction like politely saying hello instead of demanding proof that they met a famous person, a lot of celebs would be less annoyed by being approached.
I feel for her. I don't think that I would emotionally be able to handle fame.
Sounds like she's aware of her emotions and how they impact her mental health, so she's absolutely allowed to set boundaries to keep herself mentally healthy and sane.
When Simone Biles recently turned down a fan’s request to take a picture, people (rightfully) praised her for setting boundaries. Other celebs should be able to do the same!

oh good thank you OP.
(the oh no they didn't link has an extra " at the end)
But seriously she's right. You wouldn't ask a rando on the street for a hug out of the blue, don't do it to her. You don't know her.
