I completely resonate with this.

I thought the “light” would go off when I turned 30 but I’ve found myself becoming increasingly more turned off to the thought of children. I’ll be 31 this year, married. I’m the youngest of four and NONE of us have kids 🙇🏻‍♀️

I live in Florida and work as a hairdresser so I’m sure you can imagine the pushback I get when asked if I have children/why not/you’re still young you’ll change your mind 😅

The pressure around women having children is ridiculous
I was barely out of the hospital after giving birth and was already asked about baby number 2

But also stop comparing everything and anything to giving birth is stupid
Finalizing a project can feel like "completion", but it's not like giving birth

I had a creative writing teacher in college who said he thought most humans had an urge to create something new. He explained that he wasn't going to have children, and writing was his way of generating something for the world. I thought that was a great explanation.
