Are they just not reporting people testing positive? I'm sure it's extremely disappointing to get sick at the Olympics, but he's risking the health of everyone else by doing this.

A lot of people aren’t even testing

It sets such a bad example how to deal with covid right now. And shouldn't athletes be extra careful? Haven't they heard the stories of other world class athletes (even Olympic gold medallists, who have struggled so hard after an infection. Some have so far not managed to reach their top form again.

Swimming in the Seine can't be as dangerous to longterm health as covid positiv athletes in close contact competitions. As a competitor I would protest against both health risks.

He should be stripped of his medal for hugging the winner. I can maybe overlook running because he trained so hard but he should have been kept far away from the other athletes.

Don't overlook that. It was stupid decision for his and his competitor's health both in the short term and (potentially) the long term. Noah has World Championships coming up next year and has already won gold, this was just a selfish and irresponsible decision.

While I agree he should not have been allowed to run - he was allowed to, they knew he was positive.

I'm pretty sure I've gotten COVID after avoiding it until this point, I'm overnighting tests since all mine are expired. Whatever this variant is, it's harder on the lungs than I was expecting.

Yeah my throat feels pretty bad to the point it's feeling itchy its so irritated from my frequent coughing. I hope you have a full recovery soon.

I noticed the same. I had it about 3 weeks ago, and had a couple of coughing fits so bad that it was really hard to recover after and catch my breath. my breathing was totally fine otherwise but the cough was nasty.
