Suga of the K-pop band BTS issued a formal apology after being caught violating traffic rules when he rode an electric scooter while drunk in South Korea.
"Although no one was hurt, neither was any property harmed in the matter, as this is inexcusably something I have to take…

i feel like you have to do more than fall (which can happen to anyone) for a cop to want a breathalyzer, but maybe thats just how strict they are in south korea, idk. this part though "my failure to recognize that using an electric scooter while intoxicated was prohibited" sir you should not be driving any vehicle if you've been drinking. also not a great look since one of the bts side shows is a drinking show he hosts

-he was already in an accident involving one of these vehicles, he knows its a motor vehicle and dangerous (as in, he had a motorbike license)
-he AND hybe lied about what kind of vehicle it was (not an electric standing scooter, which also counts as a motor vehicle in korea, but an electric scooter like we're more familiar with in the west)
-he didn't "fall", the secret service who were patrolling for the president found him passed out on the ground.
-he lied and said he only had 1 beer (him and justin timberlake collab when)
-he was caught on CCTV

maybe im just cynical but i feel like he has to have done this before, and it likely wont be the last time since lbr fines mean nothing to millionaires

Thank you! People are getting impression that the cop saw him fall and went to help. No! The cop was patrolling the area and walked up on a dude on still on the ground next to the fallen scooter. Who knows how long he was there?!

This is very serious. And he lied at first. He made it seem like it was a push scooter, but no, it was an electric scooter with a seat like moped almost. It was an electrical vehicle. And he wasn't parking it. The dude was wasted. The cop found him still on the ground. Also, where he was found isn't even his primary residence, so we can't be sure he's being honest about that either.
This is very serious, and I hate that people are downplaying it. You should be treating this just like he was driving a car. He could've really hurt himself, others, or caused an accident. This is not ok, and him continuing to lie is not ok.
It should also be known that in SK.you need a license to rent or buy one of these electric scooters. So it is treated just like you are driving a car while drunk. And in the States you can be charged with a DUI doing the same thing.

He’s lucky no one was hurt, and I hope he never does it again.

I'm being serious, I really don't know. I only know the name of one (well, now two) members of BTS.
