This is very serious. And he lied at first. He made it seem like it was a push scooter, but no, it was an electric scooter with a seat like moped almost. It was an electrical vehicle. And he wasn't parking it. The dude was wasted. The cop found him still on the ground. Also, where he was found isn't even his primary residence, so we can't be sure he's being honest about that either.

This is very serious, and I hate that people are downplaying it. You should be treating this just like he was driving a car. He could've really hurt himself, others, or caused an accident. This is not ok, and him continuing to lie is not ok.

It should also be known that in SK.you need a license to rent or buy one of these electric scooters. So it is treated just like you are driving a car while drunk. And in the States you can be charged with a DUI doing the same thing.

Damn, I didn’t know that. I don’t follow k pop so I thought his apology was appropriate, I didn’t realize there was a bigger backstory.

Exactly. His apology was weak and pathetic. And the way the fans are excusing this is disappointing but unsurprising.

okay i was wondering if it was like a bird scooter, or like a vespa

my first thought was bird scooter and those things need to be banned because no one rides them sober and ive known people to have life changing injuries from them.

THIS. I live downtown (lots of bars and clubs) of a city that is completely overrun with e-scooters and it's always drunk people riding them on the sidewalks and roads at nighttime on the weekends. Two girls died last year when they swerved off the sidewalk and into the path of an oncoming pick up truck, they were both on one scooter and the one steering it was very drunk. The news stories framed it as some sort of freak accident but it should have been a surprise to anyone, I see shit like that constantly.

people who are downplaying it have no idea how dangerous even just the "kickstand" scooters are when people are intoxicated

i used to live in austin when they were first introduced and one of my friends is an ER nurse and it's crazy how dangerous they are for everybody - riders, pedestrians, car drivers. they're just a little thing that people associate with like kids riding them so no one takes them seriously. but when you're uncoordinated and not wearing any padding and downtown instead of a driveway and 30 years old instead of 12 it's a completely different situation.

People underestimate and downplay the fact that electric scooters are still dangerous to operate, and being drunk on top of that smdh

this company (hybe) is truly awful, they lied about the scooter, and when the video came out they changed their story....I never liked Suga so this is not surprising to me, always gave me a bad "vibe" or whatever.....but of course BTS fans will make excuses for him.

And they are trying to say it's a set up?! Stans are saying there is no way the cop didn't know it was Suga. And baybeeeee! I am a BTS fans but even I can admit that Suga without makeup and styling looks like a regular ole citizen of South Korea.

Fans don’t realize that like most of SK couldn’t point out BTS in a line up. And even if he knew it was a BTS guy, chances are he didn’t know who. Some fans don’t get that just because they know their entire life stories doesn’t mean non fans or non kpop stans do.

All of this! Plus (not trying to be nitpicky or criticize you), he did more than "make it seem like it was a push scooter", he explicitly used the term "kickboard" when he was actually on a seated scooter. He didn't use a generic term (if one exists), he straight up lied in writing ( ... )

Oh, no worries! When I say 'push scooter,' I mean like a non motorized one. One where it moves bc you are using your legs to move it. Like a Razor scooter.

But yes, he 100% lied and got caught. And he still is lying. A lot of other stuff about his story isn't really adding up.
