The times covers trad wife, ballerina farm, backfiring on her

Eight children, one husband, hundreds of acres beneath the enormous skies of the American west - and millions of social media followers. I spent the day with "trad wife" Hannah Neeleman, or Ballerina Farm, to figure out what all the fuss was about https://t.co/FapSYfq8id

Does this man even have a job? He's just out here cosplaying a self-reliant man while his wife does all the work? He has farm hands but she can't get a damn nanny for EIGHT kids??? I hate everything about this so much.

It’s a working farm, and he does the laundry

It says he was "overseeing" the work so zero real work for sure.

The Times, not the NYT. Mormon trad wives are now an international freakshow

Ex-mormon Alyssa Grenfell did a great video explaining how the Mormon church is behind pushing these influencers:

Thank you! When these "influencers" started getting so much press, I suspected that something was behind it, but felt like a conspiracy theorist.

Yup, I remember this video about how the Mormon church are influencing so much: https://www.tiktok.com/@pmatzko/video/7314707468443979051?lang=en

Wow, I have not heard about her in a minute. She has almost 10 million followers?? I remember when she had a few hundred thousand. Now I'm reminded of Naomi Davis/Rockstar Diaries/Love Taza and how people thought she wished she was like Ballerina Farm.

Since NYTimes doesn't even allow three free articles a month anymore, I'm assuming they mentioned Nara Smith since she seems to be the GenZ answer to TradWife? I stand corrected, will check out the article!

i was also thinking of Naomi when reading this, tho i think she actually graduated. and (at least on social media) Josh seemed pretty ok and involved

She did! Which, good for her, because I remember her blogging about how her classmates/friends told her she was going to drop out the moment she got engaged. It's crazy how much I followed her. Whenever I see Finn Wittrock in anything I think of her because she was in Juilliard the same time as him and his wife, Sarah, and they were all friends, lol.

I still remember seeing Josh on the subway but it took me a minute to realize who he was. I was ready to say "hi, do we know each other?" then I quickly realized who he was and it all felt creepy.

I've realized why I hate this, because it's white supremacy repackaged.

It's crazy how we went from Oprah they just have to die to now they're dead and new, younger ones like Elon Musk have popped up 😩

Yeah it really is and I’ve come across a few of them that are black women with white husbands and it just disgusts me even more tbh.

almost all the tradwives i've seen with black husbands are in those gross "polygamy" type families and they all look miserable and overworked
