That's exactly what I think, he sounds like a teenager enjoying his freedom a bit too much. Hope his family will keep an eye on him, as this can go south very quickly.

Reminds me of the (upper) middle-class kids back in high school who got piercings, dyed their hair and pretended to be punks, loitering out in the streets, smoking, drinking, begging for money, and talking about anarchy! and fuck the system!!... One of them is still playing in a punk rock band, even though he joined a conservative political party and just built a giant house.

It's always good to keep an eye out on your kids, but he might just be living out his edgy 'rich kid wants to be ~real' phase.

A friend of mine once said she's practically homeless bc she has to rent a small room. I was like, girl you have a roof above your head. People who grow up in cozy conditions, just don't know how to adjust once they are on their own.

It must be a mind fuck going from the mega rich life to having to be a normal person. He could probably benefit from some budget education, but I’m sure he’ll figure it out.
