- Netflix underwent an executive change in early 2023 and as part of the change, the new executives put a halt on post-production for The Old Guard 2 five weeks after post-production began, and then the strikes hit which caused massive delays

I would absolutely be here for an Old Guard franchise of movies. The cast was fantastic and they have a practically limitless universe/timespan to tell stories in. I know the movies are based on the comics which I haven't read so idk if there's a set plot already but yeah, give me everything please.

The first movie diverted enough from the comics that they wouldn’t really be able to make the second film follow along without changes. If I’m remembering right, in the comics Andy doesn’t regain a sense of purpose.

No it ends on a cliffhanger where it seems she lost all hope and she went to join Noriko.

I took that to mean she still had no hope but I guess it could be taken as Andy going in the hope of convincing her to rejoin them and stop doing bad things. But maybe she went outside, smoked a cigarette and came back lol.

I hate how long Netflix and the others are holding onto properties nowadays. And they just continue to raise prices left and right.

They better give it to me soon. I'm still so excited for it. I don't know why but I just don't get sick of watching it.

I would love for it to be a franchise. The cast had good chemistry and I liked the fight sequences.
