- Netflix underwent an executive change in early 2023 and as part of the change, the new executives put a halt on post-production for The Old Guard 2 five weeks after post-production began, and then the strikes hit which caused massive delays

Oh man, this better not go down the route of already filmed but cancelled movies. I really loved the first one and want to see more of that world and characters! I don't care if some of it was a bit cheesy (song choices I'm looking at you) I sometimes just want a silly action movie I can melt into.

Really hoping they will finally release it! These are the kind of ~business decisions~ that make absolutely no sense to me.

This is one of the few pieces of art I know where the adaptation is an improvement compared to the original. I’m really curious to see tho how they will handle the story going forward as some of the changes they made create more questions/issues around what happens in the comics.

The writer of the comics also wrote both movies, so I'm sure he knows what he's doing haha

I hope my comment didn’t come out as “I think the comics were bad” because that wasn’t my intent! But I do think it’s a case where the writer was able to improve/fix things while revisiting his work. (As I understand some of that was due to Theron’s influence on her character as well.)
