Tbf he's not getting major roles. Most of his projects since Star Wars have been fairly small, so I wouldn’t say he’s exactly gotten off Scott free.

On the other hand, not many Star Wars leads have ever had loads of success. Daisy didn’t. Natalie and Adam probably have the strongest careers out of the recent SW movies in terms of big box office movies.

I haven’t seen the show, so I can’t judge it. However I do agree that *some* negative reviews are based in misogyny or racism. And I also agree that *some* people who push back on a bad review will say the bad review is based on misogyny or racism. The problem is people don’t can’t or won’t discern the difference.

The writer isn’t saying that they’re not “allowed” to talk about the show, they’re saying there is no way to discuss the show as a TV critic (I.e the art, the acting, the set design, the FX) because it has been chosen as ground zero for star war racist fans to scream 😭 you cannot have little discussions about acting when the person next to you thinks black people shouldn’t exist
