The author thinks the new Star Wars show 'The Acolyte' is just not a good show, on a writing & acting level: "It has the energy of a daytime soap."
But there is no place on the internet to discuss is because the Star Wars fandom is fucking awful and has turned everything into a culture war discourse.
And the media is playing along, by not actually covering the show but covering what the fandom is mad about this week
"I'm tired of the way this discourse is continually framed and given oxygen, to the point that the thing so many folks are associating with this show is its "controversy", and not the show itself."
