Overall? Yes I think Ncuti and Millie were absolutely fantastic! The episodes were a bit eh, leaning towards good for the most part. Especially Space Babies. I’ll never not go “awww” at the screen faster or more enthusiastically than when I see 15 or Ruby holding a Space Baby. I need to watch the last 3 episodes but as long as they’re bordering on decent and I get some cute moments from both 15 and Ruby I’m okay!

I really liked this season and I hope Ncuti stays on for several seasons.

Overall it wasn't a bad season. It needed more episodes, though. Eight is kind of ridiculous. Most of them were solid enough, and I enjoyed more episodes than I didn't. I loved Ncuti and enjoyed his chemistry with Millie.

[Spoiler (click to open)]Not sure the Sutekh reveal really works if you don't know Pyramids of Mars but I enjoyed it and I'm loving the jokes going around about him being the Doctor's longest running companion and all the things he's had to witness lmao. I genuinely don't mind Ruby's birth mother being a normal nobody, but I think the "OH SHE WAS POINTING AT THE SIGN" was kind of laughable, and it was just kin of a mystery that went nowhere and was not resolved particularly cleanly. You could probably explain the snow the same way Ruby's mom is explained, but there's still the fact that Maestro was totally freaked out by Ruby. Like...none of it really lines up, but I guess that's a pretty typical RTD move

Genuinely thought this season only started like two weeks ago.

I would make a terrible companion; no comprehension of time at all.

Looking forward to accidentally binging the entire thing till 3am tomorrow, though!
