If anyone has recommendations for protein powders or similar products that don't use animal products and ALSO do not have chickpea/garbanzo/pea/lentil proteins, that would be amazing. I have been searching for years, and maybe things are getting better but almost every product I've come across has one of those, and I'm allergic to a lot of shit, unfortunately. Rant incoming

I use pumpkin seed protein powder and it's mild tasting, and nothing added. I can't tolerate soy, and I've tried the pea protein (couldn't deal with the taste). The brand I use is called Horbaach.
Not veggie/vegan or planning to be, but have been trying to do more plant based. The meat alternatives have got pretty good, some of them I'm not sure I'd even immediately clock if I didn't know
I'm vegetarian, I haven't had meat in more than three years now. Never once regretted it, don't miss it at all. I'll be honest, I can't bring myself to go fully vegan yet, because I do enjoy cheese and eggs too much, even though it would be the right thing to do for sure and I know that. I've at least been cutting back on them and making sure I buy free range eggs from local farmers though.
I also definitely got a lot healthier since going veggie since I'm more conscious about what I eat and we cook at home a lot more often. My partner was already vegetarian when I met him so it's thankfully easy for us
I hate when people use poverty and food deserts elsewhere to justify why they are not vegan.
Do these people ever do something to provide food for these communities or do they just feel a sudden urge to remember about the Inuits and homeless when veganism is mentioned?
Do people ever give up anything else in their lives because the poor can’t do it?
And about Chloe, this is why I hate when vegan pages focus on celebrities. They can change their minds, not be there for the actual cause, etc…
I believe a lot more focus on veganism should be on promoting information about the meat/dairy industry, environmental issues and nutrition facts. Also, promoting health relationships with food, I see so many ex vegans that were radically “natural” give up because they are obviously undernourished and craving something tasty.
Eat you fake meat, sugar and GMO sometimes if you want. Just don’t give up on the animals.

I'm only veggie but don't think I could go back to eating meat. I'm too scared it would make me sick.
I do kind of miss fish but I think thats cos its harder to find veggie/vegan alternatives.

And how do you know that users bringing it up here are not actually poor, and just describing their own situation?
