  • The crowd kept warning her but she didn't understand for awhile
  • An enterprising stage hand shook the dress to get it off
  • The bat is okay but unfortunately Momsen was bitten and will have to get the rabies vaccine

This just makes sense, tbh. The bat knew the crowd would love it! I'm glad she's okay though, I've always had a soft spot for her.

Yeah I've heard thar bat bites are so tiny that if you find one in your house, assume you've been bit and grt the rabies shot.

I got bit by a squirrel like 7 years ago and the doctor wouldn't give me the rabies shot. He was the worst doctor ever.

Couple of years back I was walking home from the hospital where my bf was getting a tetanus shot, stopped to pet a cat, and got bit.
So I got my tetanus shot and called the health unit. They called back and told me to search the neighborhood I got bit in, they couldnt tell me who i was looking for but just that someone would have info for me, ,lol. Turned out this little old lady got bit by the same cat and it was her neighbour's and she had proof it'd had rabies shots ,so no need for me to get the vaccines. I ended up staying friendly with her, too lol. Her husband was in palliative care at home so her life was very sad and quiet and she really liked helping me out lol.

Mind you, the human rabies shots cost anywhere from $5,000 - $20,000 in the US lol. That's the part that always freaks me out, like, what do you do if you can't afford it? How does that process work? Do you get to be in debt forever?? It's not like you can just NOT get the shots, but I have no idea what the process looks like for someone who doesn't have several thousand dollars at their disposal.

I love that bats are an example on convergent evolution both with birds and orcas/whales (echolocation). They're just giving everything a shot and figuring out what works!
