Another internet mystery has been solved! One of the most prolific liminal space images has finally had its original source and location in real life found, as well as another photo from the same day.
Also, a similar story of sorts to the backrooms... This liminal space image mystified the internet for a period of time too. It looks so weird. Is it a real apartment courtyard? Why does it look enclosed, yet outdoors as well?? It's actually a Holiday Inn Express at London's Heathrow Airport?
i remember having this recurring nightmare which didn't seem that scary to me when i thought about it but it happened around 1998. i was in an underwater area and all i could see were white pool tiles like walls and stairs and stuff and i knew i was underwater and maybe the fact that i shouldn't be able to stay underwater without worrying about breathing was the thing my brain pegged as scary. the other thing i remember from that dream is that the 'beaver fever' song by the angry beavers was playing (another thing that wasn't really scary when i was conscious but anyway)
it wasn't until last year when i was first reading into the backrooms that i realised i might have been dreaming about the poolrooms long before anyone came up with them. i like the backrooms stuff though, the whole liminal space thing is pretty awesome as well. i could watch those videos all day really though sometimes the 'monsters' aren't really needed because the vibe speaks for itself.
yea! I was prolly gonna make a post about it when the guys release the song officially (if they can't find the original copy of the song digging through boxes, they are gonna re-record it as best as they can. It helps that they still are musicians and have been making a living all these years that way).
What's the band name? I didn't realise that was found. Dod they really have no idea people were looking for their song for so long? Last I heard someone heard the song in the bg of a porn film.
Yes! The song was found in a porn from the 80's. The whole thing is wild! I'm mad at myself for not thinking of that because one of my co-workers had told me that if i had wanted more experience in film- I should work backstage on a porn film. Like I wouldn't be able to put it on my resume- but it's for experience (I was doing PA stuff at the time). I was thinking the song had to be a demo and not something mainstream at all..I just didn't make the connection that the song could have been in that type of film.
His name is Christopher Saint Booth and he was already on tiktok still making music. I don't know how the song never came up on his FYP! I constantly got it. But here is his IG- they're working on remaking it right now because they haven't found the original yet- https://www.instagram.com/christophersaintbooth/?hl=en
ooh I'd never heard of this, but that video is kinda unsettling ngl my favorite liminal spaces are half built malls. in my town they started rebuilding/renovating the mall and there were all these weird corridors with nothing in them, plasterboard walls and odd lighting, seemingly endless corridors.. feels like one of those dreams where everything is slightly off but you can't put your finger on why
People exploring real abandoned malls are creepy too. Those places are dangerous for a variety of reasons. But also they look abandoned in a way that the world ended kind of way

Its much scarier when theres no real boogyman you encounter. Just being trapped in an endless series of mazes is scary enough.
There was one of the many liminal space games that starts out in the pool rooms, and has no monster chasing you.
