One of the most prolific liminal space images has finally had its original source and location in real life found, as well as another photo from the same day.

Also, a similar story of sorts to the backrooms...
This liminal space image mystified the internet for a period of time too.
It looks so weird. Is it a real apartment courtyard? Why does it look enclosed, yet outdoors as well??
It's actually a Holiday Inn Express at London's Heathrow Airport?

Is the pool one real? I always assumed it was very well-done CGI (like Kane Pixels does).

Nah, those are CG too! Pretty much every video you may see of a hand-held camera POV exploring an area isn’t real.

It’s cool how simply adding a vhs-like filter and using a realistic motion (to mimic a person holding a camcorder) can make a CGI environment look realistic.
