A surrogate is not the only option, they just chose not to consider adoption

Which is kinda wild for the guy who made being child-free so much of comedy. I know people can change their minds but I remember seeing those clips everywhere on my TL years back. 🫨😵‍💫

Adoption isn't a cure for not being able to have bio children

I can't get over how many steps had to happen for her to get diagnosed. It's incredible that her doctor was so diligent. It kind is scares me bc I feel like most people won't have that experience.

Yep. When a woman with all of her resources has to go through that to get a diagnosis what hope is there for the average person? The medical system is so fucked up.

i've never had health anxiety but now that i'm getting older, this is the one thing i think about all the time. where i live as well the medical system is really appalling, if i get something i don't think it will ever be picked up on until it's too late, i'm scared for like my mom as well

i wonder if people are still insane about these two? the way the internet acted as if john cheated on all of them is still crazy

a whole ass Vox article about his Netflix show had a section where the writing was theorizing if the show was just Mulaney trying to get “back to the top” of the comedy world which…is wild.

plus whole ass strangers on the internet saying that it’s what she and John deserved, and I’m like. sure that the person they’re trying to defend (AMT) probably doesn’t want these weirdos going around saying shit like that in her name.

I hope she can come to terms with her guilt and understand that she wasn't 'missing' his childhood, she was receiving treatment for a terrible sickness and she might have missed his whole LIFE if she hadn't got that.

I get why she feels that way, but as I understand, her son was with her through the entire process, so I hope she can some day realize that it was still a precious time together for him growing up.

A close friend was diagnosed with cancer when his son was only 2 years old, and at first he also felt sadness and guilt over somehow missing his son's childhood. Until he eventually realized that he actually got to experience more of his son's development and build a closer relationship by being sick at home for over a year than if he had worked his demanding full-time job, incl. work trips, at the office. It's still an absolutely terrible & taxing situation to be in, but I think it's also important to make the best of it and value what you have and are capable of.

medical protocols don't make it easy to spot breast cancer. some radiology depts make you do 3-6 diff types of imaging and core biopsies per year x_x it's about time they had breast cancer survivors and leading radiologists who are women come up with better protocols. not these old crusty men >:
