- she had a full hysterectomy last month
“I did have one real moment of panic. A real breakdown. Because it’s just so strange when you’ve been with this body your entire life, had your period for so long, feel when you’re ovulating, and all of a sudden it’s gone.”
- she feels terrible about missing so much of her sons's childhood
- she and her partner John Mulaney do want to have more children so they tried to freeze her eggs after her diagnosis but it was difficult and they only got two healthy embryos
- a surrogate is the only way forward to them having another child and Oliva is aware that not everyone has these options
