Glimji, an artist from Manchester who's now based in London, takes his inspiration from the UK Garage and Trance music scene from the early 2000's. (Yes DDR music is back, yes we're old.) His sound hovers through a mix of rave synths and saturated drums that represent the “Madchester” movement, while also writing his lyrics in the style of Britpop. Get into it!

Sophie Cates, originally Silver Sphere, released her first single Drinking Games as an independent artist in 2018. She wrote and produced all of her own music on her debut EP Yikes! (which is one of the best debut pop EP's in the past decade imo). She's now signed to RCA (well) and is continuing to release bop after bop with her new album SUPERNOVA. She deserves all the success!

'40-40' - Vetta Borne (5.1k views)

Maribelle Añes, the Filipino/Australian songstress known as Vetta Borne, chose her stage name as a homage to her late-grandma. She's a producer and songwriter who's worked with multiple artists and debuted her first EP Emelia in 2021 with her hit song Kissing Strangers. She's going a bit darker with her pop style in 2024 with 40-40. Don't skip her!

Melbourne-based Blusher is a pop group where all three members are the lead. They share vocals on most of their songs and swap instruments during live shows. They all produce and write as a team, utilizing their previous solo artist experiences before forming the band. Since debuting in 2022, they've been supported by triple j, iHeartRadio, People Magazine, and Vogue. Woo! They're coming.

Nova May's pop music style is very MySpace and we love that for her. Since graduating with a degree in Music Industry Practice in 2019, Nova has been building a music career for herself, amassing over a million streams on Spotify. Nova describes her music as Dark Pop or Pop with a bite, and is inspired by female artists such as RAYE, PVRIS, Charli XCX, and Griff. Taste!

Born in Sweden, Latour began writing songs at 15 and uploading her music online at 17. She was signed to Warner Records and her breakout single One More Weekend was released in 2020, amassing over 37 million streams on Spotify. She performed at Lollapalooza in 2022 and is currently working on her new album for 2024. I don't see her stopping any time soon!

'I'm Really Pretty' - Chrissy Chlapecka (100k views)

What if you took Britney, Slayyyter, Willa Ford, and put them all in a blender? You'd have pop seductress Chrissy Chlapecka and her hot single I'm Really Pretty! She's best known as a key figure in "BimboTok", a TikTok subculture about reclaiming the bimbo stereotype/aesthetic in a queer, feminist, and leftist context. So, you agree. You think she's really pretty.

'Obsessed' - Sophie Powers & Ashley Sienna (251k views)

Toronto born pop artist and fashion designer Sophie Powers knew she wanted to be a performer from an early age. She wrote songs in private until one night at summer camp she performed for her friends around a campfire and the rest was history. She dropped out of school (stay in school, kids) and now lives in LA, pursuing her music career full time. Was dropping out worth it? You be the judge!

That's the pop-month of March, ONTD! Anything you've been obsessed with this spring? Stay tuned for April! Byeeee 👋🌷🐝🌳
