When I first learned her name I kept flipping it too. They're both first names but for me Ashley Simone sounds more like a name than Simone Ashley.

Also tbf, Simone Ashley is a stage name. He probably knew her by the name Simone Pillai and mixed up her stage name.

Her middle name is Ashwini, so I'm guessing she spun it off of that.

Me too, I hate the idea that someone would think I did it on purpose. I forget people's names all the time too but I'm good with faces luckily.

I'm a faces person too, I can recognise people I haven't seen in ages, and if it's purposely so I know to continue avoiding them. Very handy skill for my asocial self.
