Me too, I hate the idea that someone would think I did it on purpose. I forget people's names all the time too but I'm good with faces luckily.

I'm a faces person too, I can recognise people I haven't seen in ages, and if it's purposely so I know to continue avoiding them. Very handy skill for my asocial self.

as a sub teacher i always feel awful when i have to say a name i have no idea how to pronounce during attendance :\\ i always make an effort to make sure they dont feel any ill feelings about it, i hate knowing im part of the group of ppl that kid had growing up that couldnt pronounce their name the first time! but tbf i also dont remember a single kids name after i turn in that attendance sheet lol

depending on the age of the kiddos sometimes i just start by spelling out the name but if they dont know how to spell their name then were going to figure it out together!
