Apparently there was a super short re-release last year where I live due to ROTK being released 20 years ago at the time, but it was very badly timed and I think only a marathon thing instead of spread out over a couple of days.

Ugh, it’s through Fathom?!?!??!? So disappointing!!!! I’ve been to two Fathom events where the screening looked like shit.

i remember seeing RotK EIGHT times at the theatre when i was 12 lmao i was so obsessed, i even dragged a friend who hadn't seen any of the previous movies and she fell asleep half way thru

FoTR changed my life!!!!
I was not aware of the books and that movie blew my mind. I still remember the shock when it ended because I had no idea it was just the first part.
Also, this is one of the most effective jump scares ever, I almost fell out of my seat, and it's been wonderful to see people react to it when they watch the movie for the first time.
