Didn't he get recast in Iron Man because he tried to renegotiate for more pay and Marvel were like "lol no"? I don't know enough about him as an actor (or as a person generally tbf) to know if he's just being delulu or if he's actually a decent actor with crappy representation.

Edit to add I know black actors get completely shafted vs white counterparts when it comes to roles and pay, so I'm also not surprised by his story either way.

I may be wrong but I think it was either after the success of the first Iron Man he demanded more $$ than RDJ because he was the bigger name at the time of the first one OR after the first he just demanded a $10 million + contract which Marvel laughed at.

The Big Bang people and their reps collectively bargained together to get that payday after a number of years; that didn't happen on Empire, so it's not a fair comparison. I've heard he's actively unpleasant so it doesn't surprise me that he's suing someone.

Yeah a lot of these casts like friends and big bang theory have big pay-offs because they had to band together to get their re-negotiations. Same with the core cast of the MCU films.
