I looooooved the first season of Empire, but the subsequent seasons got worse and worse. :( But yeah -- is Empire even in current syndication? If so - I wonder if it's doing well.

You're right - a lot of dramas don't do well in syndication unless they have cult followings like Buffy, X-Files, some of the Star Trek series, etc. And a lot of those usually have a sci/fi or supernatural slant.

TBBT is on syndication on Fox currently, though they are playing it less (thank god). I'm hoping in a year or two it will be shifted off or at least on to late late night.

And the TBBT had been on 9 seasons when Empire started.

Yes. Season 1 was phenomenal. But it started going downhill (both creatively and ratings-wise) in season 2 onward. Season 2 only dipped somewhat in ratings, but 3-6 had noticeable drops from previous seasons.
