FYI - a fifth episode of Quiet on Set airs tonight. According to this interview:

The fifth episode features a cast member of All That who has not previously shared his story. He was motivated to come forward in part by the response to the original four episodes. It features never before seen footage. It features some of the original cast members from All That and some of the participants from the series…and they speak to the video that Dan posted. They speak to the ways in which the documentary has impacted their lives and in some cases, it’s been quite dramatic. We also speak directly with Drake Bell and are able to hear a little bit more about his response to the letter writers and some of the public statements that have been tendered around that subject. These are new interviews that were conducted after the original four episodes were released.

I’m glad more people are feeling comfortable with coming out, but I hope it’s on their own terms. I felt so icky when I saw randoms bugging former cast members to make a statement. Especially people demanding that Amanda Bynes say something.

A LOT of coverage of this is really so baffling. I read a piece the other day, I think from NPR, that was like “Bell plead guilty to allegedly endangering a minor”…like if you pled guilty it’s not longer alleged!!!

It just really feels like he’s getting a pass for the sexual abuse he perpetuated because he was a victim of sexual abuse. Like his victim is getting death threats!!!! What is going on?! It feels so insidious to see that all keep getting minimized or outright excused.

People are shamelessly helping a sexual predator get a redemption arc and it's disgusting. He deserves sympathy for what he went through as a child, but there's no excuse for covering up his own crimes.

It sucks how the cycle of abuse repeats itself. I didn’t know about accusations against Bell until this post. It doesn’t happen with every victim and it is always wrong but the number of victims sexually abused as a minor who go on to also abuse minors is like 35-40%. Horrific.

He's not. If you're more worried about protecting your abuser friend and the industry that you're barely in, than the actual victim, you're not a genuinely good person.

Drake Bell needs to sit his abuser ass down. His little redemption arc is sick. I feel for what young Drake went through, but he made choices as an adult to harm others. That is never going to be okay.
