It's very upsetting. A lot of the clips they used as examples from the shows of more "adult jokes" were so much more shocking than I expected (I did not watch Nickelodeon as a kid).

I thought the way the doc ended was really abrupt and kind of like we weren’t getting the full story with Dan Schinder. It went from oh he’s so powerful no one can tell him anything the higher ups do not care straight to and then one day he wasn’t there because of me too. They had to have found out something heinous to just dump their money maker like that right? I just have a hard time believing they were like hey in this new social climate we can’t have the show runner being mean! Not when he had had so much success for Nickelodeon idk

I mean....tbh...that's basically what happened. They knew eventually stories about Dan would come out so they just dumped him before that happened.

He had one show on the air at that point. It wasn't during the highs of iCarly --> Zoey 101 --> Victorious. He wasn't as untouchable.
