Beauty post!!

Two things.

1. I am considering trying out some K18 hair products during the Sephora sale because the ends of my hair are dry as FUUUUUUUCK and it is creating frizz. Anyone try K18 before?

2. I am SO tempted to buy Lisa Eldridge's new skin tint but the smart half of my brain knows I should wait for some reviews so I can see how it does on oily skin.

I looooove the K18 repair mask, but was not too impressed with the others products (hair oil and clarifying shampoo, granted it was only samples tho). It really works wonder, it looks like I am coming out of the hairdresser every time I use it.

I'm not sure what your hair type is, I have fine long hair and I didn't love the k18. The loreal version of it (it's like a bond strengthening pre shampoo treatment) is ok for the price though.

I really like what the 8 second wonder water lamellar water did to my hair. Not sure if there are any negative side effects..

A friend gifted me an expensive Peter Roth skincare pack thing and I had an allergic reaction 😬😫

Carey is so good. I rewatched “Far From the Madding Crowd” the other day. Such an underrated rom movie. And speaking of, I’m now thinking about “An Education” because I’m rewatching “Orphan” with Peter Sarsgaard and I will always quote “I’m worried about your cello!” in his over the top “accent.”

I love Far From The Madding Crowd, I agree it deserves more hype!

Did it have a pink, green and I think black gel cleanser/mask? I was gifted a set for Christmas and they fucked up my skin 😭

lip gloss recommendations? looking for something sheer with the slightest tint of color (if any) bc idk, every time i try a "sheer to buildable color" lip gloss it just looks like 2012 pastel lip makeup on me maybe it's jst my coloring and it doesn't like "last" as a glossy texture/looks more shiny or oily

i liked the clear blue/minty fenty gloss but i'm not interested in spending that much on lip gloss or spending on fenty tbh

also: suggestions for primers? i think my foundations are both water based (contain water/dimethicone and no silicone)

I got the Rare Beauty lip oil recently and I absolutely love it. I also like the Clarins lip oils a lot, they have some really nice sheer colours.

The elf lip oils are glossy and good. I have Jam Session and it's like a slight berry red tint. And it's fairly moisturizing

I like Carey, I do, but I can't defend her continually taking roles for Latinas. She's been looking great on the red carpet lately tho

Also excited about the Lisa Eldridge launch tmr, I wonder what the lip pencils will be like

Oh shit, I didn’t know. Just went to the wikis for the actual people and wow. How disappointing. Maybe because no one actually cares about the movie but i am surprised there wasn’t more talk about that.

Need recs, please! :)
My skincare routine is good, but I want to improve on removing sebaceous filaments on my nose. They aren't blackheads and when I did use Biore (years ago), that didn't do anything.

I cleanse my face with La Roche Posay Purifying Face Wash and don't use a toner, serum, or exfoliant because I don't know which one to use. I moisturize with ILLIYOON Ceramide.

I don't want a step-heavy skincare routine but I'm willing to add products that can clear up the black sebaceous filaments on my nose.

A chemical exfoliate or a retinol might help! My skin isn’t perfect and I still have some filaments but I think these have helped.

I use The Ordinary lactic acid, or Paula’s Choice BHA exfoliatant depending on my mood. Both brands also do retinol products. Use them at night, but not at the same time or you’ll dry your face right out. Alternate one night acid exfoliant, the next night retinol. Moisturise afterwards.

Give your face a break if it’s feeling a little dry or if you’re noticing a breakout.

Just make sure you use sun cream during the day as they can make your skin more sensitive to UV!

Couple an active like retinol at night with an oil cleanse in the morning. I love using TO's Squalane (or hemi squalane if you can get it). Just massage the oil in with really light pressure in gentle circles for 60-90 seconds. The grit should come right out!

Start off with Paula's Choice 2% BHA. You can get a small bottle to try if you don't want to commit, though it lasts for a long time. Start off with using it every other day and then work up to every day

I had many sebaceous filaments on my nose, on my cheeks and between my eyebrows and BHA helped reduce the appearance sooo much
